The essentials in 30 seconds A 30-second spot on a major French national station costs an average of EUR 5,776 gross (before discounts) across the main commercial dayparts, Monday to Friday: this is the Q3 2026 LLP On-Air basket, the index base of 100. A reading above 100 will mean published rates have risen since summer 2026. Public, reproducible methodology: official gross rates only, constant baskets, declared weightings (composite = 80% on-air + 20% digital). It tracks published prices, not negotiated prices.

EUR 5,776 gross, before discounts.
France Inter is the most expensive station in the basket: EUR 10,440 on average, peaking at EUR 19,450 in the morning between 7:30 and 8:00. RMC follows at EUR 7,648 at base index, with peaks above EUR 20,000 at high seasonal indices.
Radio Nova posts higher gross rates than Europe 1 on this basket (EUR 5,791 versus EUR 5,635), reflecting a deliberate premium positioning on a smaller, upmarket audience. Gross rates apply before discounts: published terms include rebates of up to 45 to 50% depending on the sales house. Prices actually paid are well below gross, the index tracks the published level. 3. Methodology in brief
LLP On-Air Index: basket of gross 30-second spot rates from public national rate cards, Monday-Friday, three dayparts (7:30-8:00 am, 12:00-12:30 pm, 6:00-6:30 pm). Station value = average of the 15 readings (5 days x 3 dayparts). Index = equal-weighted average of the stations in scope. Rate card used: the one in force during the quarter's reference week (Q3 2026: 7 to 13 September 2026).
LLP Digital Index: average of the mid-points of public net digital audio CPM ranges.
LLP Composite Index = 0.8 x On-Air + 0.2 x Digital (conventional weighting, declared and constant).
Scope v1 (7 stations): all national stations whose gross rate card is fully published and readable: France Inter, franceinfo, RMC, Europe 1, Europe 2, RFM, Radio Nova. Planned extension as soon as a readable rate card is published: RTL, RTL2, Fun Radio (M6 Unlimited).
Formula: index for quarter T = 100 x (basket T / basket Q3 2026).
Reproducibility: the calculation is fully reproducible from the sales houses' official rate files (lagarderepublicitenews.fr, rmcbfm-ads.com, radiofrance.com), archived by the newsroom at every reading. 4. Limitations, acknowledged and published
Gross rates, not transaction prices: the index tracks published rate levels. Prices actually paid depend on discounts (up to 45 to 50% published in some terms) and negotiations.
Scope limited to public rate cards: stations sold on request (Skyrock, Sud Radio, the Les Indés Radios package, local networks) are not included.
Heterogeneous vintages: the convention uses the rate card in force during the reference week, whatever its publication date.
Conventional weightings (equal station weights, 80/20 for the composite): the index's value lies in its constancy, not its weighting. 5. Calendar and history LLP Index history. Quarterly publication.
